Hey guys.
So today I was playing some beamng for about an hour when i get into a huge crash. i think nothing of it but when i respawn my car my wheel is still turning hard to the right. i let this go on for about 10 secs thinking it would stop until i hear a popping noise followed by a burning smell coming from the wheelbase.
I instantly closed the game. The software still recognized the wheel, and the steering angle was updating correctly. There also werent any error codes displayed on the wheel.
I unplugged the wheel from both power and USB.
Later i tested it again and noticed that:
- Wheel calibrates normally
- FFB works
BUT
The Power Button doesn’t work at all. The wheel powers on as soon as its connected to the power. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it.
This wheel is about 1.5 years old and hasnt been modified.
Im currently avoiding using it until I know whether its safe or if it needs repair.
Does anyone have any information about this type of problem? I dont know what to do at this point. Any Advice would be appreciated.
