I’m having an issue playing titles like My Summer Car, My Winter Car, Mon Bazou, The Long Drive, among others.
Now, this isn’t necessarily a huge issue, but mind you, I love whatever physics are in the Amistech series, and other games that require XInput (It seems through intensive google searching over years of different wording)
I have come to the conclusion to ask on the Cammus website if the wheel has some sort of different input/output code/procedures. This is my second wheel bought, first being Logitech G29 and I was deeply saddened the c5 did not work on Amistech games like the G29 has.
Please help
P.S. Edit: I have tried to use xoutput wrapper software like x360ce and xoutput, ETC. Nothing works
Hi there,
Thanks again for the detailed feedback — we completely understand how important these titles are, especially if you enjoy the physics in games like My Summer Car and similar ones.
At the moment, the limitation mainly comes from how these games handle input and force feedback support. Many of them don’t expose full telemetry or standard interfaces for external hardware like direct drive wheels.
That said, we want you to know that we are actively trying to improve compatibility with more titles like these. We’ve already been looking into possible solutions on our side.
If you’d like to help speed things up, one of the most effective ways is to reach out to the game developers and express interest in supporting devices like CAMMUS wheels.
In particular, it would help a lot if the developers could provide:
- A telemetry data interface (commonly UDP or Shared Memory)
- Access to steering angle / steering speed data
- Vehicle speed / dashboard data output
With this kind of support, we can integrate it into the CAMMUS software and significantly improve compatibility.
We truly appreciate your passion — and users like you actually make a big difference in pushing this forward
If you hear anything back from the developers, feel free to share it with us as well!
We’ve seen similar improvements happen in other titles once enough community interest is expressed.
Since many of these are indie titles, support may take some time, but we’re committed to exploring it.
Ahoy @cammusracing
I’ve posted a comment on the official Steam discussion forum for Amistech about support for CAMMUS wheels.
I hope something comes of it to gain direct compatibility!
That’s amazing — thank you so much for taking the initiative to do that
Posting on the Steam discussion is a huge help, especially for indie developers like Amistech. Community voices really do have an impact, and actions like yours are exactly what help push things forward.
We’ll keep an eye out as well, and if anything comes up from the developers, we’d love to explore it further on our side.
Really appreciate your support — you’re helping shape the future compatibility of CAMMUS in these kinds of games!
