I bought a second hand ddwb15 wheelbase and are having trouble connecting the wheel to the hub I can get it to click in and everything, but it will not go over the metal clip to fully lock in. Can someone assist me with figuring out a fix I have tried putting it on straight where it locks in with a little bit of force, me and my friend got it to click in twice, but it took both of us to get it to pop in correctly. I am open to any suggestion
Hi, send me a photo so I can see it or a video, maybe I can advise you
Apologies for the delayed response on this thread — we just came across it.
It sounds like the quick release locking clip is not fully passing over the metal retaining clip, which is why it clicks but does not fully lock.
Since this is a second-hand unit, it could be due to alignment, tolerance differences, or the locking clip being slightly tight.
Please try the following:
Make sure the wheel is perfectly straight when inserting
Try rotating slightly left/right while pushing in
Check if the metal clip is aligned and not bent
You should not normally need two people to install the wheel, so we’ll try to figure this out with you.
If possible, please upload a short video showing the issue.
